About Kay College Consulting
Kay College Consulting serves as a private college counselor and online college coach. We can help your student make informed choices with one-on-one college advising, supporting you and your child throughout the college application process.
Linda Kay is an independent educational consultant and certified special educator with over 15 years of experience working in school, home and agency settings. She has served as both a teacher and a supervisor and has worked with students from preschool age through high school. Linda has developed consultation programs for parents, teachers and students. These include a community special education library of books, videos and teaching materials, teacher training in special education, sensitivity workshops for medical residents, parent support groups and educational programs for children with special needs. She presents workshops to parents and professionals on the topics of learning disabilities, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and teaching techniques to reach all learners.
Linda combined her love of teaching and knowledge as a community resource person to form Kay College Consulting, LLC. Kay College Consulting provides guidance to families beginning the college search process and serves students of all abilities. Linda encourages students to recognize their strengths and talents and supports them throughout the college application process.
Linda received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from Brandeis University. Linda completed Educational Consulting Practices and Principles: The IECA Summer Training Institute, an intensive training program for educational consultants. Linda makes frequent visits to college campuses as well as programs for students with learning differences. Linda holds memberships in the following organizations: Professional Member, Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA), Asperger Parents Education Network (ASPEN), Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) and Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
Linda brings extensive insight to her practice as the parent of four grown children. She has personal experience navigating both the college admissions process and post secondary options.
